Not with eyes of flaming fire,
Nor with flashing God-like gaze;
Not with piercing, darting ire
Nor with anger all ablaze;
Not with steely, wrathful eye
Wrought in holy flame above,
But with eyes that weep and sigh
Pitying and soft by love.
Christ is Risen from the dead, trampling down death by death and upon those in the tombs bestowing Life!
